Artists were asked Why do you create and what brings meaning to your art-making?
I submitted "Gossiping", three hens having a good cackle as it reflects how I feel abut creating art. I paint and collage because i feel more alive when I do. It's my therapy/entertainment, and it has been particularly so during the pandemic. I also want to share with my viewers: family, friends and others, how I see life, seriously but with a sense of humor. One of my nephews in france and a friend in Etobicoke started raising chickens while confined. To love and be loved is essential. Gossiping or chatting, communicating through painting and other media keeps me balanced. Gossiping, 12'x16", acrylic on canvas
